I sadly didn't manage to catch SSS and The Plight last night, as the Bats' tour crew buddy Ben was singing his first show with his new band Black Fang up the road. A load of us ran up to another venue to watch his set and check out some Leeds nightlife before then running back to The Cockpit.
Check out the pics below from the Bats' performance - which included a special and bizarre moment - when a fan in the crowd took the mic and proposed to his girlfriend between two songs. Apparently she said yes - but it was a pretty metal, loud and punkrock proposal, so it was difficult to tell at the time. I recorded the romantic moment, will try and upload later! After the gig, we all went out to a bar - Santiagos? - and got rowdy Leeds-style. There was plenty of drinking, some dancing on tables to Skid Row, and the inevitable stop on the way home to Lucky's Pizza. Class.
Right, we are all getting up and showered now and out of sleeping bags and gearing up for some more time in the land of the living! More updates to come soon!
